Welcome To Rudolph Foods Company's Pork Rind Home Page Rudolph Foods Company is the largest supplier of Pork Rind products in the world. Come on in and take a quick tour of our web pages. If you love Pork Rinds, you'll love Rudolph Foods Company. Our PhilosophyRudolph Foods will provide our customers with the best quality product, the highest level of customer service, at the best price. Company ProfileRudolph Foods started out in 1955 with one peanut roaster and nine employees. With strict attention to taste and product quality over the past 43 years, we have taken the snack industry by storm and now employ a staff of 325 operating out of a 115,000 square foot production plant in Lima, plus plants in San Bernardino, California; Dallas, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia. After Mary and John Rudolph founded the company (1955) they operated as an independent until 1966 at which time they sold to the then giant Beatrice Foods Company. John remained at the head of Rudolph Foods and was also a Beatrice vice-president with some 15 other companies reporting to him. In 1987 in the midst of the leveraged buyout of Beatrice by Kohlberg, Kravis and Roberts, the Rudolph family had the opportunity to repurchase Rudolph Foods. So they have gone from family to the corporate world and back to family again. Increased demand for pork rinds has pushed Rudolph Foods' current pork skin production to a nearly 2 million pound mark each week, which translates into annual production of 100 million pounds. This volume makes Rudolph's the world's number one producer of pork rind snacks and cracklins. Actually, what makes Rudolph's product unique is the multi-stage cooking process - introducing real hardwood smoke. Mary Rudolph, 42 years ago, armed with a home economics degree, put together a system of drying and smoking the rinds to give them a real bacon flavor. Still using the original recipe and basic process, Rudolph Foods' product has consistently won every major consumer taste test compared to our competitor's product. The taste of our product is our most important asset that has allowed us to grow such a devoted consumer following. From a simple peanut roaster to sophisticated computer controlled processing and packaging equipment. From an "if it tastes good" analysis to hi-tech quality control; Rudolph Foods has come a long way.
