To My Pork Rind Petunias,

My how time flies! I realized it's been just over one year since you and I started sharing recipes and bonding over our love of pork rinds. That makes you family in my book! Speaking of family...

Did you know our family has expanded beyond pork rinds? Lately I've been on a Louisiana Hot OnYums kick - have you tried them yet? Crunchy onion ring deliciousness with a kick!

More importantly, I'm interested in what you have to say. My kitchen panel is starting next month and your thoughts are oh-so valuable. Won't you sign up? This is the last chance to join, so hurry!

Until then, I'll leave you with a question that's top on my list: What do you want to get out of our kitchen club? Email me your answers, dearies!

We know you love pork rinds, loyal Kitchen Clubbers, but how much?! A Charleston, SC man is petitioning to have his and America’s love of pork rinds nationally recognized each Super Bowl Sunday.

National Pork Rind Appreciation Day hasn't happened yet but we think it's a great idea. Whether it is by writing to your congressperson or just eating pork rinds during the Super Bowl, show your support and tell us what you think on Facebook!

The biggest game of the year is fast approaching. Having friends and family over? Use my checklist for a game plan that is sure to score a touchdown!

  1. Pigskin for tossing
  2. Pork rinds for dipping (try this Bean 'n Beer recipe!)
  3. Soda and beer for sipping
  4. Assorted snacks for munching (have both salty and sweet options on hand), like Louisiana Hot OnYums and Cinnamon Churros.
  5. Multiple TV's for everyone's sanity (the men will want to watch play reviews, the women will want to watch the commercials and the kids will love the half time show!)
  6. Foam hands and pom pom's for cheering!
