Welcome to our first Mary’s Southern Kitchen e-newsletter! I can’t believe how many people are interested in learning more about the crunchy goodness of pork rinds. I have a lot to share with you in the coming weeks.

If you have any interesting stories you want to share with me, don’t be afraid to send me a letter. You can do it the old fashioned way with a pencil and paper, or you can send me an email using one of those new fancy computers. Watch for opportunities to win some great tasting Rudolph Foods snacks, too. I’ve got lots in my cupboard to share with you!

Now let’s get to the good part – take a look at this good news story I found while I was pouring through my news clippings: If you’ve got some great stories, send them to me, I’d love to see them.

Q. I’m so excited to hear about your Kitchen Club, and am happy to have found y’all! I really enjoy pork rinds and am tickled that they are now available in several different flavors. However, I am on a diet and was wondering if you could tell me how many calories are in each two-ounce bag of pork rinds?

A. I have good news for you! Pork rinds are one of the more healthy snacks you can enjoy, as they contain zero carbohydrates and only 80 calories per serving. A two-ounce bag has four servings so you can rest assured that you are not breaking your diet while enjoying your favorite snack.
